How it works and contact

cottage kitchen

We think that everyone needs some time out. Therefore a holiday in the cottage is free. All we ask is that you respect it, relax and enjoy!

How to apply:

If you or someone you know would like to come and stay then please follow either of the two options below;

  1. If your circumstances are cancer related and you need a break then please get in touch with the excellent charity Something to look forward to (https://somethingtolookforwardto.org.uk/) by emailing info@somethingtolookforwardto.org.uk. They will then briefly review your situation and get in touch with us.
  2. If your circumstances are not cancer related and you need a break then please click on the following to get in touch.

Food:

There is a fridge freezer, an oven and two induction hobs in the cottage. It’s best to bring some food with you but if that’s tricky the local area has great amenities. There is an excellent farm shop at Applegarth and in Grayshott there is a lovely butcher/fishmonger, two supermarkets and a new bakery. Beyond that there are four great restaurant options very close by in Grayshott all of which do takeaway too; Frankies fish and chips, The Gurkha Durbar Nepalese, The Bayleaf Indian and burgers and pizzas from Applegarth. If accessing food is tricky please let us know and we will see how we can help.

Getting here:

There is a train station ten minutes away in Haselmere and a bus station 25 minutes away in Guildford, both of which we can arrange pick up to and from. The cottage has a separate entrance to our house, and there is free parking in a layby opposite.

Other things to note:

The cottage is in our garden, but it isn’t overlooked and we can’t hear each other!
